Production/Logistics Support Technician

This individual will play a variety of roles in several areas such as Inventory, Logistics, Facilities/Office Upkeep, Production Support, etc. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position may be either permanent, or a temporary position with a possible opportunity to become permanent.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Inventory management and data entry
  • Shipping, receiving, and logistics support
  • Liaison with building maintenance/support for any issues (ensuring office temperature is comfortable, bathrooms and building amenities are working as expected, etc.)
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries: loading dock, freight elevator access, etc.
  • Build, tear down, set up, and distribute office and lab equipment/furniture, etc.
  • Assembly of interconnect cabling and chassis components
  • Preparation of materials/kits for the Production Team
  • Fabrication of miscellaneous unit elements (mounting brackets, plates, other G3Ti custom components)
  • Drive/travel to other G3 offices in MD, VA, and Washington DC for deliveries
  • Van maintenance

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good mechanical aptitude, comfortable working with your hands
  • Keen interest in electronics and communications
  • Prior experience assembling/building office furniture, tables, etc.
  • Prior shipping and receiving experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, like working with and helping others, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a small company, fast pace, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong computer skills: ability to work with various applications, web interfaces/portals, MS Office and require little assistance
  • Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Clean driving record

Additional Desired Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
  • Driver’s License

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Trade school certificate/Associates degree, certification or equivalent experience in computers, networking, electrical/electronics, or related field
  • RF connector/cable assembly
  • Sheet metal fabrication using drill press and metal break
