Job Description

• Perform original wideband RF and Microwave Tuner design for applications requiring broadband frequency coverage (20 MHz to 18 GHz). Must have hands-on technical expertise in the design and development of complex RF/Microwave products from an engineering concept into a production ready product. Key design elements include:
  • Lumped element and microstrip filter and matching circuits
  • Broadband mixers
  • Synthesizers
  • Amplifiers
  • Contribute to overall product packaging mechanical design that achieves required RF isolation, heat management, size and weight
• Participate in all aspects of product design from concept through system design, component design (hardware & software), component testing, system testing and successful production
• Work closely with Hardware and Software designers to meet system design requirements
• Develop and document RF design requirements and Test Plans
• Assist in the integration and system level testing of all parts of a system until it meets all requirements

Job Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
• Project/Technical Leadership Experience is a plus
• Three or more years experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
  • RF/Microwave design in the 20 MHz to 18 GHz frequency range
  • Wideband tuner design
  • Expertise in the use of test equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, noise figure meters and oscilloscopes
  • Genesys (or equivalent) RF/Microwave design and simulation
  • ORCAD schematic capture
  • RF/Microwave printed circuit board layout
  • Multi-board analog and digital unit level design
  • Design for board level and product level testability
