Job Description

This position is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and motivated technician to leverage their knowledge and experience. We are looking for a talented electronics technician who is able to apply problem solving skills to a variety of hardware products. The successful candidate will work with the engineering team and perform all aspects of electronic chassis assembly, board level testing and troubleshooting.

As a team member, you will be expected to

  • Read and understand schematics, mechanical drawings, BOMS and wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic systems.
  • Test electronic systems, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
  • Prototyping including wiring assembly, soldering, test and troubleshooting
  • Perform SMT fabrication and rework as required
  • Use lab test equipment including DVM’s, scopes, function generators and power supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years’ experience in related field to include:
    • High density SMT part assembly/rework including precision soldering
    • RF Connector/Cable Assembly
    • Unit Level (boards into units including cabling) and Chassis Level Assembly
    • Cable Dressing
    • RF Unit Assembly
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills: MS Office, Visio, ORCAD/Altium schematic capture a plus

Other desirable experience

  • Certification to IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 and J-STD-1
  • System level test of RF and/or telecommunication equipment
  • Independent problem-solving experience
  • Software load and test experience
  • FPGA and Microcontroller production Firmware installation
  • Linux Based System build and test
